Ío Astronomy Group of A Coruña was established in 2002 as a result of the shared interests of a group of amateur astronomers with a clear objective: enjoying themselves and getting others to experience the passion for starry nights and for the science of astronomy.
Since its establishment, our astronomy group has grown from an initial group of 13 members to over 120 members and it continues to grow; this allows us to undertake increasingly complex and interesting projects.
We are a totally open group which anyone can join: neither prior knowledge, nor a specific qualification, nor ownership of a telescope is required, only a passion for astronomy and the enthusiasm for watching a nice starry night.
