Federation of Astronomical Associations in Spain

The Department of Astronomy joined the Aranzadi Society of Sciences in 1977. Its objectives are to coordinate the activities of citizen astronomers around San Sebastian and to promote scientific culture in the Basque Country, organising open lectures and public observations. It consists of about twenty active members including amateur astronomers and graduates.
