The Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing is dedicated to the dissemination of innovative and existing software tools within the amateur astronomical community, as well as advancing knowledge in computational techniques used in astronomy. The journal aims to bridge diverse disciplines by providing a unified platform for researchers and enthusiasts from various fields to exchange insights and developments.
Key areas of focus include algorithms, computational methods, software for astrometry and photometry, ephemeris generation, astronomical event prediction, and the software control of hardware systems—essentially covering all intersections of software and astronomy.
In addition to permanent sections on specific topics, the journal features original research articles, reviews, and is open to individual or collaborative contributions. Professional astronomers are also invited to contribute outreach articles, provided their work involves a significant computational component, whether in methodology or performance.
